Activity TitleClick here to register for this eventDiagnosis and Management of Autoimmune Thyroid DiseaseProgram OverviewDespite being the most common autoimmune disorder in the United States, knowledge surrounding thyroid disorders has not received the attention it deserves. This is unfortunate because the diseases associated with the thyroid, among them the most common thyroid disorder - Graves’ Disease (GD), are completely manageable and in some cases curable. Additionally many diagnoses based on the symptoms of thyroid disorders are directed to non-endocrine specialties thereby allowing the disease to progress. Proper education regarding testing modalities is needed for healthcare providers in order to have a more beneficial impact on patient care. There is a need for increased knowledge and recognition of thyroid symptoms and confidence in the ability to uncover the origin of patient symptoms. Target AudienceThe target audience will be Physicians, Physician's Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Registered Nurses, Laboratorians, and other Healthcare Professionals involved in the management of patients with thryoid disease.
